Good win for Auckland in South Pacific Championship.

Auckland, after beating New South Wales at home the previous week, continued their good start in the South Pacific Championship with a handsome 39 – 10 win over Queensland in Brisbane.

Nothing changed over the coming weeks. Auckland won all five of their South Pacific matches to take out the Championship, and indeed went on to win all of their 17 matches during the season and of course retain the Ranfurly Shield.

Zinzan Brooke - two tries.
