Chiefs open 2010 season with away win.

The Chiefs got their Super 14 campaign off to an excellent start, an away win over the Sharks in Durban. The margin was just one point, 19 – 18, but the Chiefs had the satisfaction of scoring the only try, to second five eight Jackson Willison.

Sadly, it was a false dawn for the Hamilton based franchise. After starting with wins against the Sharks (19 – 18), Lions (72 – 65) and Force (37 – 19) their only other success was against the Highlanders. After a draw with the Cheetahs and eight losses they finished a disappointing season sharing 10th position with the Cheetahs.
